Bushfire - Effects and Recovery

In February 2024 this region suffered devastating bushfires. Our group conducted a walk on private land to look at the immediate effects

We received funding from the Pyrenees Shire Council of Victoria to host a walking and discovery event in a small section of the Mount Cole State Forrest. 50+ people attended

For photos, please go to our Facebook page that were posted by some of the attendees.

Haven is a Home

Our project for the next 2 years started in late 2024 and is focused on helping the Brush Tailed Phascogale, Sugar Glider and other arboreal mammals.

This project is funded through Landcare Victoria.

Our project aims to identify the location of a remnant population, monitor the population
and provide habitat and the installation of nesting boxes.

We are documenting the project so please look forward to our reports. These will be posted our resources page
