Stay Updated with Exciting Events

Are you looking for exciting events that allow you to connect with nature and contribute to conservation efforts? Look no further than the Mt Cole Pyrenees Nature Group! Located in the beautiful Pyrenees Shire in Victoria, Australia, our non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting nature appreciation and conservation in the region. What sets us apart is that we are the only nature group in the area, providing unique opportunities for you to explore and protect the diverse wildlife and habitats that call this place home. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a conservationist, or simply someone who wants to spend more time outdoors, we have something for everyone. One of the ways you can get involved is through our guided walks. Led by knowledgeable volunteers, these walks take you through the stunning landscapes of the Pyrenees Shire, allowing you to learn about the local flora and fauna. It's a great way to connect with nature and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world around us. If you're interested in contributing to scientific research, our citizen science projects are perfect for you. These projects involve collecting data on various species and habitats, which is then used by researchers and conservationists to make informed decisions. By participating in these projects, you become a citizen scientist, making a real difference in the field of conservation. For families with children, we offer kids' education activities. These activities are designed to be fun and educational, teaching children about the importance of nature conservation and instilling in them a love for the environment. From nature scavenger hunts to interactive workshops, there's always something exciting happening for the little ones. Of course, our main focus is on conservation initiatives. We partner with other groups on various projects aimed at protecting threatened and endangered species. Some of the species we work to conserve include the Powerful Owl, Phascogale, Mt Cole Grevillia, and Koalas. By becoming a member, you can directly contribute to these conservation efforts and help preserve the unique biodiversity of the region. To join our community and stay updated with our exciting events, all you need to do is become a member. Membership fees of $15 for individuals and $25 for families cover the annual Victorian Landcare affiliation charge, which provides insurance for the group. Not only will you be supporting our conservation efforts, but you'll also receive regular updates about upcoming events and excursions. Don't miss out on the chance to connect with nature and be part of our conservation efforts. Contact us at mcpnaturegroup@gmail.com for more information and to join our community. Together, we can make a difference in preserving the natural beauty of the Pyrenees Shire.
